INTRODUCTION

Mailtalk is a mailing list service run by the JISCmail team, situated at the Science and Technology Facilities Council's Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, providing a low cost, flexible and powerful system with reliability to match.

The Mailtalk Service runs LISTSERV® software supplied by L-Soft. Users of JISCmail will be immediately familiar with most of the components and functionality that make up Mailtalk; in particular, when using email to manage or post to a list, the only difference will be in the name of the server that you send the mail to.

WHERE TO START

It is recommended that new users browse through the Using Mailtalk section and that new list owners familiarise themselves with the List Owners section.
