While it is never possible to guarantee that 100% of viruses going through Mailtalk will be intercepted, we employ a highly effective anti-virus system which provides users with the following levels of protection:

• Virus scanning, on all email destined for Mailtalk, is first performed on a separate server
• A second virus scan is performed on the Mailtalk server itself as the email is despatched
• File areas are protected by a real-time scanner that can detect and deal with an infected file the second it is uploaded

In the unlikely event that you do receive an infected email or file from JISCMail, please inform the Mailtalk Helpline immediately.
